Year 11

Little changes to the curriculum from Year 10 into Year 11. More time is devoted to English and Science as each area is working towards multiple GCSE’s. 

Students will be striving to achieve as many standard passes (Grade 4 GCSE or Level 2 Pass at BTEC) as possible but to achieve a strong pass (Grade 5 GCSE or Level 2 Merit) at BTEC would lead towards even greater success, especially if achieved across each element of the EBacc subjects) 

The grade for each qualification count as points and the total for a students’ best 8 subjects. This cumulatively creates a point score which may enable them to apply for a place in the GBHS Sixth Form.

Students receive 50 one hour lessons each fortnight.
