Assistant Caretaker

Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, Salary £23,500

Shift work across opening hours of the academy, there will be an expectation to work Saturdays on a rota basis for which overtime will be paid.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Caretaker who is highly organised to support our Site Team in maintaining and managing a safe and secure learning environment for our young people. You will have a keen eye for detail to ensure our facilities are clean and well maintained.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent technical skills and able to provide excellent customer service to our community.

The successful candidate will be expected to have:

·       An understanding of the main Health and Safety Regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment, and how they apply in a school environment

• Experience of working on a site or as a handyperson
• Experience of carrying out maintenance work, within the reasonable capacity of a normal handyperson
• The ability to identify work priorities and manage own workload, whilst ensuring that lower priority work is kept up to date.
