Year 10 Work Experience: A Huge Success!

Our Year 10 students enjoyed a highly successful Work Experience week, gaining valuable insight into a wide range of careers while developing key employability skills.

Students undertook placements across Essex, London and beyond, representing themselves and the school with maturity, professionalism and enthusiasm. Employers praised their confidence, positive attitudes and willingness to learn.

This year’s placements spanned a diverse range of sectors, including finance, engineering, technology, healthcare, education, law, construction, retail, hospitality, creative industries and animal care. Students gained experience with both local organisations and major employers such as Amazon, Google UK, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Ford, LSEG and Zopa Bank.

Alongside industry-specific knowledge, students strengthened important transferable skills including communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving, resilience and professional conduct. Many returned inspired by the experience, with some confirming existing career ambitions and others discovering exciting new possibilities.
