Back to Latest NewsThe Student Leadership Council met this week and voted in the Make Your Mark ballot for the Youth Parliament by choosing the topic they cared about most. The were picking from the following topics: Education & learning; international relations; health & wellbeing; rights, equality & democracy; jobs, the economy and benefits; crime & safety; culture, media, sports; climate change and the environment; transport; youth work and young people’s services.
They also discussed and provided feedback about using the school library. This included when and how students use it and what they would like to be able to see/do at the library and improvements they would like to see made.
Finally students worked in groups based on their Houses to work on projects relating to differences we can make around the school and local community.
Attenborough house are looking at possible green initiatives we can introduce in the school.
Ennis -Hill are looking at fundraisers and community pay back around the school.
Hawking are working on outreach and using their voice to make a change.
The next meeting is set for 27th March.
