The Great Baddow Bake Off was back this year with twenty-four student entries. The creativity for the book themed show stopper bakes were outstanding. It was a great morning of viewing and tasting for students and staff alike to raise funds for Children in Need.

£123.65 was raised for Children in Need.

Mr Farmer’s winners were:

1st Anais C (10E3) – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

2nd Layla W (8A2) – The Monster Book from Harry Potter

3rd Sophie (10H3) and Rhys B (7H3) – Wonka Bar.

Student choice winners were:

1st James D 8H2 – Magic Dust Book.

Joint 2nd Emeilia P (8H2) – The Secret Garden and Stirling D (7E2) – The Art Of Racing In The Rain.

3rd Chloe Paley (8H1) – Guardians of the Galaxy.

Every entry was fabulous but special mentions to Lily and Imogen for their Pride and Prejudice cake, for Stirling's gluten free racing cake and for Scarlet's shadow cake, the sponge was amazing. Also Miss Flack for her staff entry.

A huge thankyou to the staff who came and helped: The library staff and Mrs Sargeant for coordinating, Mr Faulkner (photos), Mrs Draper, Mrs Tucker, Mr Bowers, Mr Gibbon, Miss Derbridge. Also to Mrs Cunning and Mrs Wicker for lending trays and utensils from the cookery rooms. A special thanks to our excellent Prefects and helpers too: Rosie B, Daisy and Katie H, Gracie B, Bartek, Ellie T, Grace D and Olive O.
