We are extremely proud to share news of Great Baddow High School students and their sporting achievements outside of school.

This week we are celebrating the news that Year 8 student, and member of the GBHS Elite Support Programme, Sonny N (8A2), has become the Boys Year 8/9 Under 42kg British Schools Judo Champion 2022 at the British Schools Championships in Sheffield this week held at the Institute of Sport.

'This is a very prestigious event as it is a national competition that adheres to the rigours of top tier competitions. It is also unique for Judo as competitors represent their school rather than their judo club. Sonny competed in a very difficult group and I am pleased to inform you that he won gold, making him the Boys Year 8/9 Under 42kg British Schools Champion 2022.' Parent Quote
