Performing Arts Students Perform at Thriftwood College
Back to Latest News
This Wednesday Year 13 Performing Arts students performed at Thriftwood College to the entire cohort of students (Year 10,11, 12s and 13s).
Our Year 13s have been working on a ‘community theatre’ performance, aimed at students with additional learning needs, using the theme ‘Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.’
There were two performances, one that took inspiration from The Greatest Showman and one that was a modernised Cinderella, set in a high school. Both were uplifting and featured harmonised songs and great choreography.
The students at Thriftwood responded brilliantly to the performances and were laughing and clapping the whole way through! It was a very humbling experience for our students and extremely rewarding; seeing first hand the power of the arts and the impact this kind of experience can have on others.
Well done to our talented performing arts students, who have worked tirelessly on these performances.
