Spanish Students Practice their Language Skills in Cadiz
Back to Latest NewsTwenty-four Year 11 Spanish students have just returned from an amazing 4 day trip to Cádiz, in the south of Spain.
The trip was organised as an immersive experience, where students had structured Spanish speaking classes in the morning, and then enjoyed cultural activities and trips for the rest of the day.
They learnt how to prepare and cook an authentic paella, which was delicious and had flamenco lessons, which everyone enjoyed as well. They went out for authentic tapas and visited the city of Cádiz, where they explored the historic city and visited a cámara oscura; a hidden camera room that allowed them to see real time, what was going on in the streets below.
On the last day, they went into the city of Seville and visited the Plaza de España, before heading to the Palacio Real Alcázar and its beautiful Moorish palace and gardens.
"The students spoke lots of Spanish, and most importantly, it was great to see their confidence grow in the spoken language."
Mrs K Barkway, Head of Spanish.
